My Family!
I thought I would do a post about my family to introduce all of them to you!
There are 5 people in my family. I have a mum, Martine, a dad, Arran and 2 brothers, Finn and Oliver.
My mum stays at home with us most of the time. She used to be a Nurse before having me. Now she works at Pumpkin Patch on the weekends, which I like because she is always bringing me home nice clothes!
My dad is a secondary school teacher. I love that he gets the school holidays off with me, it’s really cool. He also plays in a band with Mr Stribley! My dad and Mr Stribley went to school together.
My little brother Oliver is 3 1/2 years old. He loves to play outside and with his diggers and tools. He really loves Scooby Doo and Mr Bean!
My other brother Finn died when he was a baby. I was only 3 when he died. He was very sick and he had to spend a lot of time in hospital. We still talk about him lots and we celebrate his birthday with afternoon tea and balloons. Finn had the biggest smile in the world (as you can see from my photos in my slideshow!)
I also have my grandparents. My dad’s parents are called Wendy and Tom. My Grandpa was Mrs Morris’ teacher at high school! My mum’s parents are Jeanette and Terry. All of my grandparents live in Leopold like me!
I hope you enjoy the slideshow I made about my family!

Dear Charlotte,
I just love this post! You have worked so hard and you should feel very proud of yourself!
I enjoyed reading the information about all of your family members. You did a great job explaining who was in your family and I feel like I know them all a little bit better!
I have a mum (Gayle), dad (Ian) a sister (Renee) and a brother (Luke). Renee is 25 and Luke is 16. Renee is a nurse in Melbourne and Luke is in Year 11 at Stawell Secondary College. My mum, dad and brother live in Pomonal, a very small town near Halls Gap, and I grew up there before moving to Geelong when I was 17.
My grandma also lives in Pomonal and my nan lives in Melbourne. I also have aunts, uncles and cousins in Pomonal and Melbourne. So no other family members live here in Geelong near me! Luckily, my family likes to visit me on weekends sometimes and I go and see them too when I get the chance.
Do you think you would like to be a teacher like your dad and grandpa?
Well done, Charlotte. Keep up the great work!
Your teacher,
Miss Jordan
Hi Miss Jordan,
I am so glad you like my post. I did work very hard on it with my mum.
There is so much more I wanted to say, but my mum said we might run out of room on the page
Your family sounds very nice. I bet you wished they lived a bit closer to you so you could see them more.
I would like to be a teacher like my dad and grandpa. I think I would like to teach art of course!
Your blogging buddy,
Charlotte
P.S I also meant to say that I love your PhotoPeach slideshow! The photos are just lovely and your family obviously has a lot of fun together!
Thanks Miss Jordan we do!
Charlotte, thank you so much for sharing you family with me. You are so clever to put that slideshow together. How did you do it??!! You have a wonderful family and you must do lots of great things with them! I have 3 grown up sons and one of them has just been married. If it’s ok with you I would like to share your blog with the children in my class. They are in year one. We are on holidays at the moment. We go back to school next week.
Mrs. Kolenberg
Hi Mrs Kolenberg,
Thank you for your comment! Your family sounds lovely. A wedding would have been very exciting!
My mum helped me with the slideshow, it took a little bit of time but we still got it done! I’m sure next time it will be easier!
I would LOVE you to show the blog to your class. It would be even better if they left me a comment or two! I hope they like it.
Enjoy the rest of your holidays!
Your blogging buddy,
Charlotte
Dear Charlotte,
I was so impressed with your new post and your PhotoPeach. There are lots of teachers who don’t know how to use PhotoPeach so that is a terrific skill for a grade two student!
I like how you put that your grandpa was my teacher! He was a popular teacher! I also remember your dad and Mr Stribley from high school. I think they were in Year 12 when I was in Year 7 or 8. The reason I remember then is because they were in a band.
I have a mum, Ann and a sister, Jo. My mum lives in Clifton Springs and Jo lives in Leopold with her husband and kids (Trinny and Wyatt).
You are lucky to have so much family close by. They all look like lovely people!
What other things would you like to learn about blogging?
Keep up your great work,
Mrs M☀rris
Dear Mrs Morris,
I would like to learn how to put other widgets on my blog. My dad said he could help me with that.
I know I am very lucky to have lots of my family near by. They are all very lovely!
My Grandpa was a very good teacher. Do you know that he also taught Bradley Turners mum too!
Your friend,
Charlotte
@ Charlotte,
Oh isn’t that funny that your Grandpa taught Sara. It is a small world!
I saw you told Miss Jordan that you would like to be a teacher one day. Wouldn’t it be funny if you were a student teacher at Leopold!
Best wishes,
Mrs M☀rris
Hi Charlotte!
What a wonderful post you have done about our family! I had a lot of fun helping you with it!
Well everyone would know that I am your mum and they would know who is in my family from your excellent post! But I thought I could tell you about my brothers since we didn’t put that in your post.
I have two older brothers, their names are Ashley and Neale. Ash is 6 years older than me and Neale is 2 years older than me. (You can see their photos in the slideshow)
Ashley is married to Paola who is from Chile and they have 2 children, William who is 2 and Belen who is 6 months old. Ash is a plumber and Paola is a Doctor.
Neale is married to Laura and they have 2 children. Emelia who is 9 and Henry who is 18 months old. Neale works at Alcoa and Laura is a secondary teacher and she works at the same school as Charlotte’s dad!
My mum and dad do live in Leopold which is great as we get to see them lots!
I love spending time with my family, we always seem to have a lot of fun together! I think because all the cousins get along so well!
Happy Blogging Charlotte!
Love
Mum
Hi Mum,
Thank you for helping me do this great great great post.
Love,
Charlotte
Hi Charlotte,
I loved seeing your family slideshow – it made me laugh to see you and Oliver as little people, Oliver without all his hair and you looking like a little girl instead of the big girl you are now. I was only thinking the other day how you were younger than Henry when I met you for the first time, and now you’re all grown up!
Henry says hi, he’s watching his favourite – Hi 5.
I hope you had a good week back at school after the holidays and I’ll see you soon.
x
Aunty Laura
Hi Aunty Laura,
Thanks for coming to my party yesterday and coming in the pool with Henry!!
Thanks for saying that about the slideshow. it was good to see your photos of your wedding again.
Love,
Charlotte
Dear Charlotte,
What a beautiful post about your family. I really appreciated how you shared the story about your brother Finn, it bought a few tears to my eyes. You are right he had a lovely beautiful smile.
I live in Auckland, New Zealand and so does most of my family. Alongside my parents, I have a younger sister and a younger brother but they are both taller than me. In fact my brother is almost 2 meters tall! So I laugh when people tell me that I am tall because I am the ‘short’ person in my family.
Teaching seems to run in families. My mother is a teacher and now I am studying to be a teacher.
Ka kite ano,
Stephanie

Dear Charlotte,
Your slide show was really cool. You have a big family, you are very lucky. No, in our grade we don’t have anyone living in Leopold! We have grandparents living in Wonthaggi, Woodend, Sydney, even as far away as Russia, Canada, Denmark and England.
From Grade 2H @ Rangeview Primary School
Hi grade 2H,
